Volleyball Recap: Port Jefferson Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Port Jefferson can now relate to. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mount Academy Eagles on Friday. The shutout was out of character for the Royals seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in October.

Port Jefferson's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Mount Academy, the win (which was their 13th in a row) raised their record to 43-4-2.

Port Jefferson does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Mount Academy, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Portville on the 21st.
