It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Columbus East can now relate to. They fell just short of the Whiteland Warriors by a score of 5-4 on Thursday. The Olympians' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Columbus East saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jacque Boroughs, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI.

Columbus East's loss dropped their record down to 10-16. As for Whiteland, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 18-8.

Columbus East does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Whiteland, they will head out to take on Terre Haute North Vigo at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Warriors' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Patriots have averaged an impressive 8.1 runs per game this season.
