Lightning postpones high school football showdown between No. 1 St. John Bosco and No. 2 Mater Dei

Fans will have to wait another 24 hours for perhaps the biggest high school football game anywhere in the country this season.

Lightning postponed the showdown between No. 1 St. John Bosco (Bellflower, Calif.) and No. 2 Mater Dei (Santa Ana, Calif.), who were scheduled to meet at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Santa Ana Stadium.

Now the contest between Trinity League rivals looks like it will be played at 7 p.m. Saturday at the same location.
