Volleyball Recap: Worthington Kilbourne Wolves vs. Westerville North Warriors
Worthington Kilbourne was the 3-0 winner over Westerville North when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Wolves came up short against the Warriors on Tuesday, falling 3-0. The Wolves have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
While Worthington Kilbourne ultimately came up short, they really made Westerville North work, particularly in the first set. The final score came out to 26-24, 25-15, 25-22.
Jake Haslett paced Worthington Kilbourne's offense, picking up nine kills. Haslett got some help from Alex Ishida and his 18 assists. Colin Shaffer controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.
Worthington Kilbourne's defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 4-6. As for Westerville North, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season.
