Baseball Recap: East Mountain Takes a Loss

The home team had won the previous five meetings between East Mountain and New Mexico Military Institute, and New Mexico Military Institute kept the tradition alive. The Timberwolves fell 6-3 to the Colts on Thursday. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Colts this season, with their most recent defeat being a 8-0 loss on Thursday.

East Mountain saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Rylen Radosevich, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI. Cole Hitchcock also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.

East Mountain's loss dropped their record down to 16-7. As for New Mexico Military Institute, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. East Mountain will challenge Sandia Prep at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for New Mexico Military Institute, they will square off against Tularosa at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
