Basketball Game Preview: Highland Park Hornets vs. Memphis Cyclones

Highland Park and Memphis are an even 4-4 against one another since December of 2017, but not for long. The Highland Park Hornets will host the Memphis Cyclones at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Highland Park hasn't scored more than 24 points for three games straight, a trend the team is eager to reverse.

Last Tuesday, Highland Park was beaten by Wellington 70-3. While losing is never fun, the Hornets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1296th, while the Skyrockets are ranked 149th).

Meanwhile, Memphis had to suffer through a 62-15 loss at the hands of Wellington. The matchup marked the Cyclones' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Memphis has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season. As for Highland Park, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-9.
