Football Recap: Alburnett Comes Up Short

Alburnett lost against Regina back in October of 2020, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Pirates had to suffer through a 59-27 loss at the hands of the Regals. The loss put an end to the Pirates' undefeated start to the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Alburnett fell to 2-1. As for Regina, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Alburnett and Regina should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Iowa Rankings. The Pirates will challenge Tipton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday with a big rank advantage (112 vs. 244). Meanwhile, Regina (ranked 51st) will meet Cardinal (ranked 262nd) at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
