Baseball Recap: South Brunswick Takes a Loss

South Brunswick extended their losing streak to six on Thursday, dropping their season record down to 1-14 in the process. They came up short against the Old Bridge Knights, falling 13-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Knights this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 7-0 on Tuesday.

South Brunswick saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jack Whitlock, who went 2-for-3 with one double.

As for Old Bridge, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-9. Their hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

On Old Bridge's side, the team relied heavily on Chris Crosta, who went 1-for-2 with two runs and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Noah Balbuena, who went 1-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Looking ahead, South Brunswick will host Trenton Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Old Bridge, they will head out to challenge Millburn at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
