Soccer Game Preview: Greeneville vs. Gallatin

The Greeneville Greene Devils will venture away from home to take on the Gallatin Green Wave at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. Greeneville has given up an average of 3.1 goals per game this season, but Saturday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Greeneville is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to ten goals on Tuesday, they were much more limited against West on Thursday. They came up short against the Rebels, falling 7-1. While losing is never fun, Greeneville can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee soccer rankings (they are ranked 115th, while West are ranked 23rd).

Meanwhile, Gallatin lost 7-1 to Farragut on Friday. Gallatin have struggled against Farragut recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Greeneville has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-6-1 record this season. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 12 goals over those four contests. As for Gallatin, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-3.
