Basketball Recap: Cade Rock's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Garfield over Labrae

Garfield entered their contest against LaBrae on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Garfield G-Men lost 73-52 to the LaBrae Vikings. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Vikings this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 71-43 back in January.

Several G-Men players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Cade Rock, who went 6 of 8 to rack up 12 points in addition to five rebounds and three blocks. Rock is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 45% in the last three games he's played. Aidan Hill was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with nine points and ten boards.

Garfield's loss dropped their record down to 14-6. As for LaBrae, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season.

Coming up, Garfield will challenge Champion at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for LaBrae, they will face off against Newton Falls at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
