Soccer Recap: Carroll County vs. North Oldham
After flying high against Henry County last Monday, Carroll County came back down to earth. The Carroll County Panthers lost 8-0 to the North Oldham Mustangs on Wednesday. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky soccer rankings (they are ranked 122nd, while the Mustangs are ranked 35th).
The defeat snapped Carroll County's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 7-8-2 record. As for North Oldham, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-3-1.
Carroll County will square off against Ludlow at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for North Oldham, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Christian Academy-Louisville at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. North Oldham knows how to get goals on the board -- the squad has finished with four goals or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully Christian Academy-Louisville likes a good challenge.
