Soccer Game Preview: Manchester West vs. Derryfield

The Manchester West Blue Knights will take on the Derryfield Cougars on Wednesday.

Manchester West is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of New Hampshire's top teams: Trinity, who was ranked 15th at the time (Manchester West was ranked 20th). Neither the Blue Knights nor the Pioneers could gain the upper hand on Friday so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw. The result kept Manchester West happy, as they haven't lost a game since October 3rd.

Meanwhile, Derryfield kept a clean sheet against Berlin on Friday. They put the hurt on the Mountaineers with a sharp 7-0 victory. Considering Derryfield have won six matchups by more than three goals this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

The win made it two in a row for Derryfield and bumps their season record up to 8-4-3. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored ten goals over those two contests. With that draw, Manchester West's record moves to 10-2-5.
