Football Recap: Audra Guillory and Ravan Haizlip Pace El Capitan Defense

El Capitan was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the O'Farrell Charter Falcons, falling 40-19.

Despite the loss, El Capitan still got an impressive performance from Kylee Frazier, who threw for 208 yards and a pair of touchdowns, and also rushed for 65 yards and one score on only seven carries.

Even if they lost, El Capitan's defensive line still kept up the pressure with five sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Audra Guillory and Ravan Haizlip, who racked up all five sacks between them. With that strong performance, Haizlip is now averaging an impressive 1.1 interceptions per game.

El Capitan's loss dropped their record down to 6-5. As for O'Farrell Charter, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. El Capitan will square off against rival Monte Vista at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. This will be the Vaqueros' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. Meanwhile, O'Farrell Charter is set to take on their familiar foe High Tech CV on Thursday. The match will also give the Falcons their first taste of in-conference action this season.
