Softball Recap: Fairview Tigers vs. North East Grape Pickers        
        
		
            
 Fairview's game  last Tuesday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them  on Friday. They never let the North East Grape Pickers onto the board and left with  a   17-0  win. With that  victory, Fairview brought their scoring average up to 7.7  runs per game.
  Carissa Worline made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound,   not allowing a single  earned run and  only one  hit over five innings pitched. Worline has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in four consecutive pitching appearances. Worline was also big at the plate,  going 1-for-4 with a  home run.
 In other batting news, Fairview got a  massive  performance out of  Jocelyn Terella, who  went 2-for-4 with three  stolen bases, three  runs,  and four  RBI.  Taylor Polach was another key contributor,  scoring four  runs and  stealing five bases while going 3-for-5.
 Fairview is  on a roll lately: they've  won three of their last four games,  which provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record  this season. As for North East, they are  on  a  three-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 3-5.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fairview is on the road again  on Monday to play Mercyhurst Prep at 6:00  p.m. Mercyhurst Prep is coming into the  matchup with three straight  losses at home,  meaning Fairview will have to defend against a  squad hungry for a  win. As for North East, they will head out on the road to  take on  Northwestern at 4:00  p.m.  on Monday. Northwestern will roll in looking for their  fourth straight  victory, something North East surely won't give up without a fight.
