Callaway had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 25.7 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Pike County Pirates a 42-0 shutout. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Cavaliers' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 102nd, while the Pirates are ranked 280th).

Callaway's record is now 4-2. As for Pike County, they dropped their record down to 3-3 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Coming up, Callaway will face off against Westside at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Cavaliers will be up against the Seminoles' rather soft defense (which has allowed 38.67 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Pike County, they will square off against Jackson at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Red Devils will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each matchup than the last.
