Orland has gone 9-1 against Corning recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Orland Trojans will head out on the road to take on the Corning Cardinals at 7:30 p.m. Orland will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak.

Orland got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jayden Thompson out in front who went 7 for 14 en route to 16 points in addition to eight rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Derick Rubio, who made all 5 shots he took for 11 points and six boards.

Meanwhile, Corning suffered their biggest loss since December 14, 2024 on Friday. They came up short against Gridley, falling 66-40. The Cardinals were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 40-12.

Orland's win was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 15-4. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.6 points per game. As for Corning, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-10.

Orland strolled past Corning in their previous meeting back in February of 2024 by a score of 52-36. The rematch might be a little tougher for Orland since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
