Football Game Preview: McCurdy vs. Mission Achievement & Success

On Saturday McCurdy take on Mission Achievement & Success at District Game Homecoming at 1:00 PM. Both teams have had a rocky road up to this point with five consecutive losses for McCurdy and three for Mission Achievement & Success.

It was all tied up at halftime, but McCurdy weren't quite Pojoaque Valley's equal in the second half when they met last Thursday. McCurdy took a 26-35 hit to the loss column at the hands of Pojoaque Valley. McCurdy's defeat came about despite a quality game from senior Ernesto Marinez, who caught passes for 234 yards and 3 touchdowns.

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 0-58, which was the final score in Mission Achievement & Success's tilt against Fort Sumner/House. The game was over by the end of the first half, with no points scored by either team from that point forward.

With the two teams each stumbling in off of a loss, both will be hungry for the victory. The McCurdy defense got after the quarterback against Pojoaque Valley to the tune of four sacks, so Mission Achievement & Success's offensive line better have put in some good practice this past week in preparation for the match.
