Soccer Game Preview: Lake Gibson vs. Lake Region

The Lake Gibson Braves are taking a road trip to take on the Lake Region Thunder at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Last Monday, Lake Gibson didn't have quite enough to beat Wesley Chapel and fell 2-1. The Braves have struggled against the Wildcats recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Lake Gibson's goal came courtesy of Lindsey Gonsalves, who's now up to two this season.

Meanwhile, Lake Region was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to Mulberry. The game was up for grabs at halftime, but sadly the Thunder struggled afterwards.

Lake Region's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Lake Gibson, they now have a losing record at 6-7-2.
