The Gateway College Preparatory Gators will venture away from home to take on the Burnet Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Gateway College Preparatory is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.7 runs per game this season.

Last Tuesday, Gateway College Preparatory earned a 6-3 win over Marble Falls. The victory continues a trend for the Gators in their matchups with the Mustangs: they've now won six in a row.

Natalee VanTassel was incredible, scoring a run while going 2-for-4. What's more, she posted three RBI, the most she's had since back in February. Another player making a difference was April Monge, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one stolen base.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 13 runs the game before, Burnet was a bit more limited in their match on Tuesday. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Salado. The Bulldogs haven't had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Gateway College Preparatory's win bumped their record up to 16-1-2. As for Burnet, they now have a losing record of 9-10-1.

Gateway College Preparatory took their victory against Burnet when the teams last played back in March by a conclusive 8-2 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Gators since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
