After a string of five wins, Wilmington's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell just short of the St. Thomas More Sabers by a score of 2-1.

Rachel Smith paced Wilmington's offense, picking up 14 kills. Smith got some help from Ashlyn Warriner and her 15 assists.

Wilmington's defeat dropped their record down to 12-3. As for St. Thomas More, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-2.
