Basketball Recap: Kotzebue Takes a Loss

Kotzebue was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 65-44 to the Barrow Whalers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Whalers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 68-63 last Friday.

Kotzebue's loss dropped their record down to 4-14. As for Barrow, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season.

Kotzebue does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Barrow, they will take on Nome-Beltz at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Barrow's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last eight games.
