Sage Creek hadn't done well against Carlsbad recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way  on Tuesday. The Bobcats were the clear victors by  an  8-1 margin over the Lancers. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won  11-4  back in March.
 Kassidy King made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she  pitched three innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't  given up  more than two  hits in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate,  going 2-for-4 with one  run, one  double,  and one  RBI. That's the most  hits  she has posted since back in May of 2024.
 In other pitching news,  Molly Fitzpatrick looked comfortable as she  tossed four innings while giving up just one earned run off   three  hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't  given up  more than one  walk in 13 consecutive appearances.
 Back at the plate,  Torii Ramirez was  incredible,  going 3-for-4 with two  runs, one  triple,  and one  stolen base. That  triple was  her first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of  Kaimana Coleman, who  went 3-for-4 with two  runs and two  RBI.
 Sage Creek was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .469. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a  batting average of .323 or higher in three consecutive  matches.
Sage Creek is  on a roll lately: they've  won four of their last five games. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-9-1 record  this season. Those  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.8 runs on average over those games. As for Carlsbad, their loss was  their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which  dropped their record down to 3-13.
 We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Sage Creek will  square off against  rival Torrey Pines  at 4:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Meanwhile, Carlsbad is set to  take on  their familiar foe Mission Vista  at 3:30  p.m.  on Thursday.
