Soccer Game Preview: Walton vs. Cambridge

Walton is on a four-game streak of home wins, while Cambridge is on a seven-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Raiders will host the Bears at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Walton's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Walton's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 1-0 victory over Milton. Given Walton's advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked sixth, while Milton are ranked 70th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Cambridge made easy work of Mount Paran Christian two weeks ago and carried off a 9-0 win. The result was nothing new for Cambridge, who have now won eight games by three goals or more so far this season.

Walton's victory bumped their record up to 14-2. As for Cambridge, their win bumped their record up to 12-3.
