Baseball Recap: Preston's Undefeated Season over After 11 Games

The Preston Pirates came up short against the Ketchum Warriors on Monday and fell 6-1. The matchup marked the Pirates' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Kaden Dean put in work while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out eight batters over 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and not a single walk). He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one hit in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3. Those two hits gave him a new career-high.

Having lost for the first time this season, Preston fell to 10-1. As for Ketchum, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-1.

Coming up, Preston is taking a road trip to face off against Stigler at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Stigler will roll in looking for their 14th straight victory, something Preston surely won't give up without a fight. As for Ketchum, they will be taking part in a tournament against Commerce at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
