Basketball Recap: Holtville Finds Playoff Glory Versus Booker T. Washington Magnet

It's playoff time, and Holtville had no trouble coming through when it counted. They strolled past the Booker T. Washington Magnet Yellow Jackets with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 51-32. This was a revenge game for the Bulldogs: when they faced off against the Yellow Jackets back in January, they had to take a 49-37 loss.

Holtville pushed their record up to 9-14 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.0 points per game. As for Booker T. Washington Magnet, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost 16 of their last 17 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-21 record this season.

Holtville will venture away from home to challenge Marbury at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Marbury knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four games -- so hopefully Holtville likes a good challenge. Booker T. Washington Magnet does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
