Volleyball Recap: Aydan Flores' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Bellflower over Esperanza

Bellflower suffered their biggest loss since March 25th on Tuesday. They came up short against the Esperanza Aztecs, falling 3-0. The shutout was out of character for the Buccaneers seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in March.

While Bellflower had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 19 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-19, 25-20.

Bellflower lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Aydan Flores, who had 23 assists and five digs. He is on a roll when it comes to assists, as he's now posted 14 or more in each of the last 30 games he's played dating back to last season.

Bellflower's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 16-12. As for Esperanza, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 17-11.

As of now, neither Bellflower nor the Aztecs have any future games scheduled.
