Basketball Recap: Morgan Cremen's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Beachside over Camden County

Beachside was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 55-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Camden County Wildcats. The Barracudas were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.

Beachside lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Morgan Cremen, who posted 15 points along with eight steals and six assists. She has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 25 times she's played. Madilyn Ray was another key player, going 5-for-8 to rack up 14 points in addition to eight rebounds and four blocks.

Beachside's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Camden County, the win keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Coming up, Beachside will take on Sandalwood at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Camden County, they are packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will square off against Tattnall County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
