Volleyball Recap: Britton-Hecla Takes a Loss

Britton-Hecla was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Hamlin Chargers. If the Braves were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Chargers when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The final score came out to 25-11, 25-12, 25-7.

Britton-Hecla's offense was headlined by Karlie Zuehlke and Abigail Lee, who picked up three kills apiece. They got some help from Jaelee Grupe and her six assists.

Britton-Hecla's defeat dropped their record down to 11-11. As for Hamlin, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 15-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matches. Britton-Hecla will challenge Great Plains Lutheran at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hamlin, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Deuel at 7:30 p.m. on the 27th.
