Softball Recap: Elma's Win on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Elma proved they can win big on Monday (they won by 13) and on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past the Royal Knights 5-4. The victory was familiar territory for the Eagles, who have now won three contests in a row.

Elma's win bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Royal, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-3.

Looking ahead, Elma will be playing in front of their home fans against Tenino at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Eagles are facing the Beavers at the right time seeing as the Beavers are stuck on an eight-game losing streak. As for Royal, they will take on Meridian at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. The Trojans have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 14.67 runs per game on average), something the Knights will no doubt try to take advantage of.
