Softball Recap: Six Straight Home Victories for Marathon

Marathon won the last time they faced Ransom Everglades and things went their way on Wednesday too. Everything went the Marathon Dolphins' way against the Ransom Everglades Raiders as the Marathon Dolphins made off with a 19-9 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Dolphins.

Daniuska Perdomo was a standout: she scored four runs and stole four bases while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Shaina Robinson, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2.

Marathon always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .756. The last time their OBP was this high was back in April of 2024.

Marathon pushed their record up to 2-0 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Marathon will host Colonial Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Ransom Everglades, they will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Carrollton School of the Sacred Heart at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The match will give Carrollton School of the Sacred Heart their first taste of in-conferenceaction this season.
