Softball Recap: Skyline Eagles vs. Alta Hawks

Skyline extended their losing streak to three on Tuesday, dropping their season record down to 11-16 in the process. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost an 18-17 heartbreaker at the hands of the Alta Hawks. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Hawks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 36-25 back in April.

Bella Waters led a balanced group of hitters, going 2-for-3 with four stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. Isabella Rasmussen was another key player, getting on base in three of her five plate appearances with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base.

As for Alta, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-14. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory they have posted since April 14th.

On Alta's side, Addyson Brownell was a standout: she got on base in all five of her plate appearances with one home run, four runs, and one stolen base. As for Alta, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Corner Canyon at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Hawks are facing the Chargers at the right time seeing as the Chargers are stuck on an 11-game losing streak.
