Basketball Recap: Hebrew Academy Beats David Posnack Jewish Day for Their Fourth Straight Win

Hebrew Academy had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 42.3 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Monday. They snuck past the David Posnack Jewish Day Rams with a 46-40 win. Given the Warriors' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 164th, while the Rams are ranked 453rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

David Posnack Jewish Day lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Eden Ezra, who posted 14 points. Those 14 points gave Ezra a new career-high. Sophia Klein was another key player, putting up ten points.

Hebrew Academy's victory bumped their record up to 12-4. As for David Posnack Jewish Day, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-9.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hebrew Academy and Mater Bay Academy will face off at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday without much rest having both just played. As for David Posnack Jewish Day, they will be playing at home against Immaculata-La Salle at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
