Basketball Recap: Espanola Valley Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Espanola Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost to the Mesa Vista Trojans at home by a 55-41 margin. The Sundevils were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Trojans apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2024.

Espanola Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Mesa Vista, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Coming up, Espanola Valley and Hobbs will face off at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest, having both just played. The Sundevils will need to watch out since the Eagles have now posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. As for Mesa Vista, they and Bosque will face off at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday without much rest, having both just played.
