Soccer Recap: Vail Mountain Falls to Rifle in First Game of Season

Vail Mountain kicked off their season on the road on Thursday and hit a couple of potholes. They came up short against the Rifle Bears, falling 5-1. The game was a close 2-1 at the break, but unfortunately for Vail Mountain it sure didn't stay that way.

Looking ahead, Vail Mountain will square off against Steamboat Springs at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Rifle, they didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next matchup, a 10-0 win against Grand Valley on the 23rd.
