Basketball Recap: Portage Comes Up Short

Portage was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They took a 74-55 bruising from the Baraboo Thunderbirds. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 417th, while the Thunderbirds are ranked 175th).

Portage's loss dropped their record down to 2-23. As for Baraboo, they moved to 14-11 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Baraboo beat Portage by a score of 74-55 on Tuesday.
