Softball Game Preview: Beallsville Blue Devils vs. Madonna Blue Dons

The Beallsville Blue Devils are packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will challenge the Madonna Blue Dons at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.

Beallsville is headed out to face Madonna after opening their season at home and giving their fans just what they were looking for. Beallsville sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 21-20 win over Bishop Rosecrans on Wednesday.

Raegen Lucas was a standout: she scored four runs and stole two bases while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances. Jachelle Hill was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances.

Meanwhile, Madonna entered their tilt with Cameron on Thursday with four consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with five. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 4-3 W against the Dragons. That's two games straight that the Blue Dons have won by just one run.

Beallsville might still be hurting after the 12-4 defeat they got from Madonna in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can Beallsville avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
