Softball Recap: Steinmetz College Prep Drops Highest Score of Season Against Phoenix Military

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Steinmetz College Prep). They were the clear victors by a 22-5 margin over the Phoenix Military Firebirds on Thursday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 16-1 last Friday.

Deja Kirk was a standout: she went 1-for-2 with three stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. Dinasti Bell was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Steinmetz College Prep always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .550. They are 4-1 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Steinmetz College Prep's victory bumped their record up to 4-7. As for Phoenix Military, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Looking ahead, Steinmetz College Prep will host Westinghouse at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Phoenix Military, they will welcome Intrinsic at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Firebirds will need to watch out since the Mustangs have now posted at least ten runs every time they've taken the field this season.
