Recap: Calvin Christian Crusaders vs. Rock Academy Warriors
The Calvin Christian Crusaders lost against the Rock Academy Warriors back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Calvin Christian fell 44-33 to Rock Academy.
Several Crusaders players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Caleb Lapka, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Isaac Lapka, who scored seven points along with five steals.
It was another big night for David Whitley, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 12 rebounds for Rock Academy. Whitley hasn't dropped below 11 rebounds for three straight games. Another player making a difference was James Whitley, who scored eight points.
Calvin Christian has been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 12 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-11 record this season. As for Rock Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a massive bump to their 15-8 record this season.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Pacific Ridge the next time they take the court. Rock Academy will head out to face Pacific Ridge at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, while Calvin Christian will host them at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
