Basketball Recap: Chapin Comes Up Short

Chapin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were outmatched by the Irmo Yellow Jackets and fell 71-41. The Eagles lost against the Yellow Jackets in their previous head to head back in December of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 45-38 score last time.

Chapin's record now sits at 8-13. As for Irmo, they moved to 12-7 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Chapin will head out to face off against Dutch Fork at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Irmo, they will face off against Lexington at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Irmo is facing Lexington at the right time seeing as Lexington is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
