Recap: Cincinnati Christian Cougars vs. Lockland Panthers

In what's become a running theme this season, the Cincinnati Christian Cougars gave their fans yet another huge victory on Saturday. They claimed a resounding 53-10 victory over Lockland at home. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory Cincinnati Christian has managed all season.

Cincinnati Christian found their leader in underclassman Serena Cyprien, who scored 22 points along with eight steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Cyprien has scored all season. Kaylin Davis was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with four steals.

Lockland's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Liselle Bradford, who scored four points along with three steals.

Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Lockland struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only two offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

Cincinnati Christian is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-2 record this season. As for Lockland, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-12.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cincinnati Christian will face off against Belmont at 6:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Lockland's road trip will continue as they head out to face DePaul Cristo Rey at 6:00 p.m. on January 18th. DePaul Cristo Rey's defense has only allowed 26.8 points per game this season, so Lockland's offense will have their work cut out for them.
