Mauldin is a perfect 10-0 against Hillcrest since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Mavericks will be playing in front of their home fans against the Rams at 6:00 p.m. The two teams are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.

Mauldin is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of South Carolina's top teams: Greenwood, who was ranked 25th at the time (Mauldin was ranked ninth). The Mavericks never let the Eagles get on the board and left with a 3-0 victory on Thursday. Mauldin haven't had any issues with Greenwood recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Hillcrest, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. Everything went their way against T.L. Hanna on Thursday as they made off with a 3-0 victory. Considering Hillcrest have won nine matches by more than two goals this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Hillcrest's win bumped their record up to 10-5. As for Mauldin, they pushed their record up to 10-3 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Mauldin beat Hillcrest 2-0 when the teams last played on April 1st. Will the Mavericks repeat their success, or do the Rams have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
