Soccer Recap: Marmion Comes Up Short

Despite a strong season so far, Marmion has seen their luck take a bit of a downturn recently. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Loyola Academy Ramblers. The match was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but Marmion couldn't quite close it out.

Ethan Potts and Jamin Berman scored both of Marmion's goals, bringing their combined season tally to ten goals.

Marmion's loss dropped their record down to 11-3-1. As for Loyola Academy, with the win, they broke their three-match losing streak and moved their record to 7-5-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Marmion will face off against rival Chicago Mt. Carmel at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Loyola Academy is set to take on their familiar foe Saint Ignatius College Prep at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
