Football Game Preview: Highland Huskies vs. Jefferson Saints + How To Watch

The Highland Huskies are taking a road trip to face off against the Jefferson Saints at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many points in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Highland is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Denver West just ended the team's five-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell 13-7 to the Cowboys. The matchup marked the Huskies' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Highland's defeat came about despite a quality game from Tyler Varra, who rushed for 90 yards and one TD.

Even if they lost, Highland's defense still kept up the pressure with three sacks. In that department, Audie Lewis was the leader with two. Another thorn in Denver West's side was Brogan Palmer, who picked up a sack and made nine total tackles (2.0 for loss).

Meanwhile, Jefferson ended up a good deal behind Estes Park on Thursday and lost 21-6.

Highland's loss dropped their record down to 5-2. As for Jefferson, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-7.

Everything came up roses for Highland against Jefferson when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 72-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Huskies since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
