Baseball Recap: Poly Prep Country Day Picks Up 11th Straight Win at Home

The Poly Prep Country Day Blue Devils were able to grind out a solid victory over the McQuaid Jesuit Knights on Saturday, taking the game 5-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Blue Devils.

Poly Prep Country Day got a great performance from Miguel Sime Jr. as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 13 over 6.2 innings pitched. Those 13 strikeouts gave Sime Jr. a new career-high.

At the plate, Poly Prep Country Day saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Owen Ten Oever, who went 1-for-4 with one triple and one RBI. That triple marked the first that Ten Oever has hit this season.
