Softball Recap: Strafford Takes a Loss

Strafford's last matchup with El Dorado Springs could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's matchup on Tuesday. The Indians lost 24-4 to the Bulldogs. The defeat was just more heartbreak for the Indians, who fell 10-8 when the teams last met back in May of 2023.

Dalyce Scrivener made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run. She is on a roll when it comes to home runs, as she's now launched at least one in each of the last three games she's played.

Strafford has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-18 record this season. As for El Dorado Springs, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-5.

Strafford didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 16-5 win against Reeds Spring on the 9th. As for El Dorado Springs, they are taking a road trip to face off against Buffalo at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Bison's pitching crew has only allowed three runs per game this season, so the Bulldogs' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
