Softball Recap: Burns Picks Up Third Straight Win on the Road

It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Burns ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. They came out on top against the Chase Trojans by a score of 6-3. The game was the first time the Bulldogs have beaten the Trojans on their field since April 24, 2015.

Burns' win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.3 runs over those games. As for Chase, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Burns will take on Bessemer City at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Chase, they will face off against East Rutherford at 6:00 p.m. on April 1.
