Soccer Game Preview: Monticello vs. O'Neill

The Monticello Panthers will venture away from home to take on the O'Neill Raiders at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Monticello will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

On Tuesday, Monticello was able to grind out a solid victory over Fallsburg, taking the game 3-1.

The Panthers hit the Comets with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Samuel Rein, Jefferson Rivera, and Landin Raynor.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask O'Neill). They were the clear victors by a 10-1 margin over Sullivan West on Tuesday. The high-scoring effort was just what O'Neill needed considering they were shut out in their previous matchup.

O'Neill's win bumped their record up to 10-1-1. As for Monticello, their victory bumped their record up to 7-4-1.
