Hickory is a perfect 5-0 against Bayside since April of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. Hickory will look to defend their home field against Bayside at 5:00 p.m. One thing working in Hickory's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs every time they've taken the field this season.

Bayside's hitters are going to have their work cut out for them on Wednesday: Hickory hadn't allowed a single run the last three times they've hit the field. Hickory never let Indian River get on the board and left with a 13-0 victory on Thursday. Fans of the Hawks have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 6+ runs.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 12 runs the game before, Bayside was a bit more limited in their game on Monday. They came up short against Ocean Lakes, falling 15-2. The defeat continues a trend for the Marlins in their meetings with the Dolphins: they've now lost four in a row.

Bayside saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Caidyn Doss, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Bayside's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Hickory, they pushed their record up to 3-0 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

Everything went Hickory's way against Bayside in their previous matchup back in May of 2022, as Hickory made off with a 9-1 victory. Does Hickory have another victory up their sleeve, or will Bayside turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
