Baseball Game Preview: Southwood Cowboys vs. Weston Wolves

The Southwood Cowboys are taking a road trip to challenge the Weston Wolves at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Southwood is looking for their season's first win.

Southwood is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They fell just short of Homer by a score of 10-9 on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Weston made easy work of Choudrant on Tuesday and carried off a 14-4 victory. The win continues a trend for the Wolves in their matchups with the Aggies: they've now won four in a row.

Ty Henderson was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Henderson was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 1-for-3. What's more, he posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, Bryce Zehr was incredible, scoring four runs and stealing three bases while going 2-for-3. What's more, he posted two hits, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Drew Browning, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Weston always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .556. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Choudrant only posted an OBP of .360.

Southwood's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Weston, their record is now 6-4.
