Football Recap: Valentine Comes Up Short

Friday just wasn't the day for Valentine's offense. They were outmatched by the Chadron Cardinals and fell 34-0. The defeat continues a trend for Valentine in their meetings with Chadron: they've now lost five in a row.

Trace Buechle threw for 56 yards on six of 14 attempts. Dominic Beebout was his top target, picking up 32 receiving yards.

Valentine's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Chadron, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Coming up, Valentine will welcome Gibbon at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Chadron, they will venture away from home to face off against Mitchell at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
